Brief Bio
Thomas is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Vision Group headed by Daniel Cremers at the Technische Universität München. He is interested in using graph theory, discrete optimization and also continuous optimization to solve computer vision problems.
Between 2011 and 2013, Thomas was a visiting Ph.D. at Waseda University, Tokyo, in the group of Hiroshi Ishikawa. Thomas studied Computer Science at the University of Bonn. In 2004/2005 he stayed one year as an exchange student at Keio University, Tokyo. At the University of Bonn he was member of Team NimbRo working with football playing humanoid robots, winning the Robocup twice (teensize humanoid league 2009/2010) and the Best Humanoid Award in 2010. Thomas recieved his diploma in Computer Science from University of Bonn in 2010.
